Using the Mehlich III extraction method, SoilKit tests for: pH, Buffer pH, Phosphorus, Potassium, Magnesium, Calcium, Manganese, Iron, Copper, Boron, CEC, and organic matter.

I have learned a lot about soil and nutrients by using the information they have provided and found how to improve it by using their recommendations. I wish the test results could be a little more detailed; but then I have not had tests done before so got nothing to compare it to. Also, I was hoping the test would be a bit more cheaper due to the extension office affiliation. But otherwise test provides all necessary metrics you would need for making any amendments to your soil

This is the SOIL test of your absolute Horticulture dreams! Before this test. I had to guess at shipping costs. Pay outrageous sums for things like organic matter percentages (think $300 alone). The test tells you everything you would want to know including CEC! And it’s all super easy to read and understand. I have every client or mine use one.

I like the review re: what my soil needed. The lay out of the report and the speed of the process.
Only negative would be an explanation of what the nutrients do. For example nitrogen does this for St. Augustine grass etc.
Overall: A grade.
You need to do this if you want to have a beautiful lawn or garden.
